Event Recap - GalaxyCon St. Louis

This post is going to be short.

To say that the event was abysmal is definitely an understatement. This was the absolute worst comic con of the year.

I paid a premium to have a booth in the Premier Artists section. My booth in the back wall near the loading dock area, and was directly next to an artist who sells "provocative" art prints, and having to listen to people tell their children to "avert their eyes" or grown men saying not so nice things, it really didn't settle well with me at all.

There was hardly any foot traffic throughout the entire weekend. I'm not sure if GalaxyCon failed to do more marketing for the event, if the economy is to blame, or both.

If I lost my shirt in Chicago, then I lost everything else in St. Louis. I left the show early on Sunday afternoon - it wasn't worth it staying open for the remainder of the day. I also left early on Saturday evening as well. Anyone that knows me knows that I would never leave an event early for fear of not being invited back. At this point it does not matter if I get invited back or not.

This will be my last convention for the foreseeable future. With the ongoing health struggles I simply cannot do these large events anymore, especially by myself. For 2026 I'm going to look for one day indoor events closer to home, and get the website updated with more products.
